Charity golf tournament features 4-player scramble, great prizes
When Branson’s Skaggs Classic charity golf tournament returns this year on May 20 golfers will be treated to a fun-filled day on the course described by Golf Digest as a “masterpiece of mountain golf architecture,” LedgeStone Country Club.
“We are always looking to give our sponsors and golfers the absolute best experience and we know they are going to love playing this beautiful 18-hole, par 71, championship course at LedgeStone Country Club,” says Meghan Connell, Skaggs Foundation president. “Golfers will also love the morning start time so they can get their game in before the mid-day heat.”
Skaggs Classic sponsorship opportunities begin at $500 for hole sponsorship and team sponsorships start at $1,000. All proceeds raised help support Skaggs Foundation.
“Every dollar stays right here in Stone and Taney counties to improve health and wellness,” explains Connell. “This year, we are on track to impact the lives of more than 42,500 individuals in our community - individuals who are our friends and neighbors.”
Here are just a few of the ways Skaggs Foundation is improving health and wellness:
• 96 Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Scholarships provided last year to patients who otherwise could not afford services vital to regaining health and quality of life following a heart or lung event.
• 1,789 Nutritious Meals Delivered to Cancer Patients receiving outpatient therapy through lunchtime at CoxHealth Cancer Center Branson.
• 51 Student Scholarships awarded last year to local individuals pursuing careers in the medical field, ensuring a bright future for health care in our community.
• 42,500 Lives to be Improved this year by Skaggs Legacy Endowment grants made to area organizations dedicated to improving health and wellness.
